The inimitable Nina Nastasia is joined by Marissa Paternoster of American rock band, Screaming Females, for a pair of intimate, collaborative duet reworks of songs from Nastasia’s first new album in over a decade, last year’s Riderless Horse.
"Nina Nastasia is unquestionably my favorite living singer songwriter," Paternoster says. "Her new album, Riderless Horse, is gut-wrenching, and so, so beautiful. It's the first of her albums to only feature voice and guitar, so I've always wanted to tinker around with adding some accompaniment. I decided to choose my favorite songs from the singles she's released, and I can't thank her enough for letting me realize this little dream!"

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
